Research

While doing some research on silent films for the context of practice essay I came across a book highlighting the aspects of the subject, this got me thinking of how similar aspects could be translated into a 3D gamespace. The first game that came to mind was LIMBO. LIMBO is a 2D sidescrolling game and is very unique in the way it



The first game I could think of was LIMBO.
 


LIMBO is very unique in that it possesses a very distinctive art style. The environment is monochrome and atmospheric contrasting with my previous ideas of a Rayman-esque environment.

Along with it's minimilist, depressive sound effects and lack of instructions give a very immersive and eerie atmosphere.
